PODOCARPUS SPECIES

Podocarpus polystachyus/ Jati Laut at Bandar Damansara , Kuantan, Malaysia

For the first time I had come across Podocarpus being used as hedge and I had no choice but to turn around to snap few photographs. It turns out to be very nice and the hedge reminds me of Taxus baccata, one of the very popular topiary plants in Europe. Podocarpus is quite a popular topiary (Bonsai) in Malaysia but not many gardeners using it as hedges.

  2. Thanks for showing those wonderful topiaries from overseas! Also, the list of plants here is quite comprehensive. Very good reference for those who are considering what shrub to get for their hedge or topiary. Btw, I think Phyllanthus myrtifolius and Artemisia scoparia are good candidates also.
